DailyAccess Appoints General Counsel/Chief Risk Officer

Mobile, AL

DailyAccess Corporation, a leading national provider of retirement plan services, has appointed ERISA attorney James O. Wood to its newly created post of General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer. Wood will also serve as Chief Compliance Officer of DailyAccess’s wholly-owned subsidiary, InterServ, LLC, an SEC-Registered Investment Advisor that provides fiduciary support services.

In addition to overseeing DailyAccess’s legal and regulatory affairs, Wood has responsibility for human resources, internal audit, and training and development. He will also supervise compliance for InterServ.

Wood was most recently Executive Director - Compliance for the institutional lines of business for JPMorgan Chase Bank. He previously served as Senior Vice-President of ERISA Compliance for Bank of America; Chief Compliance Officer for CNA Trust; Vice President of Pension Administration for Pan American Life; and Chief Fiduciary Officer for Aetna (ING) Trust Company.  

Wood served a three-year term on the U.S. Department of Labor’s ERISA Advisory Council, where he advised the DOL Secretary and Congress on pension and health/welfare issues. He also served on the Governing Council for the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists.

Wood holds a Juris Doctor in ERISA studies from Loyola University Law School. He is an author and occasional guest editor for WorldatWork Journal and Benefits Quarterly. His professional designations include Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS); certified Global Benefits Manager; Certified Compensation Specialist (CCP); Certified Benefits Professional (CBP); and Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR).
