The business at DailyAccess Corp. - a recordkeeping firm serving the small plan market - is not the only thing keeping Tommy Thomasson busy. During the past year he has increased his profile as the chair of the Council of Independent 401(k) Recordkeepers (CIKR, pronounced “kicker”). CIKR is a spin-out from ASPPA and is lobbying Congress on behalf of recordkeepers and TPAs. Thomasson is also executive director of the policy board for the Investment Fiduciary Leadership Council (IFLC).

Thomasson has roots in the brokerage side of the business. He started his career as a Merrill Lynch financial consultant. He later owned Financial Asset Management Services, a registered investment advisory firm.
